IS THE GIVE A BUCK PROGRAM?
Our mission is to deliver a million units of BUCK milks and gelatos to families and individuals in need through food banks, urban missions and school lunch programs.
We like to dream big. And believe in the goodness of people. When fully nourished, people have a great capacity to achieve and spread goodness. With many unable to access nutritious food, we recognize the need to step-up. We may be small but we're bold and we commit to matching every unit of our plant-based mylk and gelato an individual or corporation contributes, with a goal of reaching one-million deliveries.
Our 'Give a BUCK' program isn't just a donation, it's a cyclical movement. The program targets thoughtful actions that inspire a ripple effect of positivity. Each unit of buckwheat mylk donated nurtures Canadian farmers, the planet, and the health of our communities. By stimulating the production of sustainably grown buckwheat, we are replenishing soil, saving water, protecting the bee population, and reclaiming Canada's production of this regenerative crop. We hope to deliver nourishing products that will inspire consumers to own their goodness and share it with others.
"We're really proud that our 'Give a BUCK' campaign is going to allow families and children to have a better chance at bringing their best selves forward, so they feel inspired to give back to their communities in the way that works for them. We love the idea of paying it forward this way."

As we expand into the US, we will be working with local US food banks as well.
What type of products is BUCK donating?
What is the timeline of the donation to food banks?
BUCK is aggregating products to be efficient in supply chain and therefore being able to maximize donation capability. Donations will be provided to food banks as soon as possible depending on quantities and are integrated with product manufacturing.
What is my donation contributing to? What is my impact?
There is a large percentage of the population that is using food banks as a source for their nutrition. Often these families do not have plant based or dairy-free options available. You’re helping to meet the needs of these wonderful people. During the current pandemic especially, families have been impacted. Additionally, new immigrants often use these services and require specific dietary considerations.
How will I know that my donation reached a food bank?
Each month we will advise donors of the donations that have been made to the relevant food banks.
